Target Black Friday 2019

This black Friday must be reeling through your head right now. Where should I shop, what items did I forget and how cheap will they be? These are some really good questions and often times then not typical consumer thinking. However did you ever ask how safe will it be?

Many times black Fridays carry a stigma of riot like behavior. People go insane with the thought of getting that item they wanted for a cheaper price. People will shove and push, rush and trample those who get in their way. We always think it will not happen to me but when it does we cannot believe it.

There are steps and measures that must be taken in order to survive the brick and mortar chaos. There is a method to this madness if you are willing to brave the cold and people. There are many options at our fingertips, such as online shopping and cyber Monday. Can you wait till then, I don't think so!

This brings us to our point of where to shop and to prepare for shopping war.

1. Know your surroundings
Target is small(unless it is a super center), people will get elbow to elbow with you. If you do not like tight places or being around people that close then avoid Target. Shoppers will most likely be well to do or a higher pay scale shopper. What this means is that it is likely people will not get to rowdy maybe grumpy, cussing, and/or yelling at the worst. However there can still be that one violent person. Stress can also play into erupting chaos so watch out for those who seem to escalate gradually or faster.

2. Pick your times
You can wait there in line for hours if you go there early, but we ain't gonna do that are we? If you go there to late then you miss out on all of those items for sale. Arriving at a time where people are going in allows you to slip in. They will rush the door meaning you can get in from the side. Be careful doing this because somebody may get mad and try to stop you. It is best to be quick say nothing and head to your item. The safest bet is to wait in the back but that ain't gonna happen.

3. Secure the goods
Once you get your item firmly hold it in your hands. DO NOT set it down or somebody else will snatch it up. This can lead to a fight you will not win and end your shopping night. Keep your items close and try to be quick when getting other ones, keep an eye out for people checking you out. There will be that one person waiting for you to put it down. You can avoid this by looking at the person letting them know you are on to him. Don't say anything to him just let him know with your facial expressions.

4. Safe Extraction
Something else people do not think about is leaving peacefully and safely. You are happy because everything went well and you got your items. However the moment you leave the store that person you did not see checking you out lurks outside waiting for you. In this case it is good to have mace on you and ready. However you can avoid this by making sure there is not somebody following you out. Check around every corner before crossing it. Check out your car's back seat and look through the windows before opening. Keep your car locked before you go in, carry mace, have it ready when you leave, and keep your eyes open for that same person you keep seeing. The attacker will be the person who you see the most.

5. Enjoy your loot
Pull into your driveway, unload your trunk, go inside and smash everything you bought in front of your family. Just kidding we did not go through this trouble to be crazy. Make sure the kids are gone and wrap them up, place them under the tree and think about their happy faces when they open them. The shopping war is finished for now until next year........
